Last year I won two tickets to a fitness convention called Be:Fit London from Juiven8 a company that produces amazing protein fruit juices.
Not really knowing what I was attending I rocked up and was blown away by the energy of the convention centre, the stands, the talks and demonstrations. I knew I was coming back this year and made sure to book my ticket early.
Be:Fit London runs over three days at the Business Design Centre in Angel, North London. I went on Sunday last year and was greeted with a goody bag and found a lot of the stands were giving away extra samples as it was the last day. This year I went on the Saturday, sadly there wasn’t a goody bag to pick up but I did snag some great samples.
I was Charlie and the design centre was my chocolate factory. The first store I saw on entering was Reebok, normally a Nike fan I thought ‘I’ll just take a look’… 20 minutes later I walked out with ZPump Fusion 2.0 ELE trainers and they are lush. Great in the gym but my feet did go a bit numb walking the long distance home in them yesterday. This is not a negative review, they are after all gym trainers and not walking shoes and they supported my feet amazingly during my HIIT workout. They look pretty damn hot too!
I wondered around checking out new products, trying different types of shakes, juices and bars. I had a wonderful time! I didn’t not attend any of the talks this year, my own fault as I missed the only one that interested me on the Saturday. I did try out Rebound UK’s high energy workout that is performed using small circular trampolines. I was only on there for 10 minutes and I felt the burn. I decided not to try any other classes as I have a gymbox membership and I get to try so many fun new classes with them. They take old class formats like spins and they turn it into bikes and beats. It’s spin with an edge, a dance class on a bike and you just cannot help smiling while working out and that smile makes you work out harder. Workouts should be fun not tedious. My workout with Rebound UK was most defiantly fun. I wish I got to try the hotpod yoga pop up but I missed out as places filled up fast.
In a nutshell, it is a great place to try products, go to talks, be inspired and work-out.
Looking forward to getting sweaty at Be:Fit London again next year.
